In Need of Assistance

June 17, 2009

Our oldest daughter Cassie just graduated from High School and we had the Open House on the very next day. Jeri has been thinking about this Open house for months and it intensified as the big day approached. Wow!

I have a new found appreciation for Open Houses and the amount of work that goes into pulling one off! There’s outside work and inside work and attention paid to a hundred different details that most people would never notice! (But you notice it when you’re the one doing it). You know what I’m saying, right? The weeds pulled, the bathroom painted, the windows cleaned, the planters planted, the tables arranged in a certain location, the balloons, the ribbons, the decorations, the table coverings, the games, and lest I forget the absolute most important one – THE FOOD!

I just have one thing to say about all of this. If it weren’t for the help of many friends we would not have pulled it off! You reminded me once again of what true friendship is all about. THANK YOU from our entire family!

It has been a great reminder of my need of other people in life! I could not do what I do in life if it were not for the assistance and encouragement of so many people. I in turn want to make sure that I also am helping and encouraging others realizing that we really do need each other!

Keep it Real! Bill
